Meet Blue September. A limited edition of the Bubble band, natural royal blue sapphires set against white enamel, made once for the month that owns the stone.
The birthstone. September's stone is blue sapphire, and a birthstone piece is bought to be worn constantly rather than kept for occasions. Most birthstones are not built for that. Sapphire is corundum, 9 on the Mohs scale, which puts it directly below diamond and above every other stone people wear every day. It is the rare case where the sentimental choice is also the durable one.
The stone. Natural royal blue sapphires, bezel-set between every pair of white enamel beads, all the way around. Natural only on this one. There is no lab-created option, and that is what makes it an edition rather than another colorway. Stones this small are matched by eye and by hand for tone, not graded individually, so a band reads as a set rather than as a row of separate stones. The bezels sit the stones below the height of the enamel, which is why the band takes a knock better than a claw setting would.
The making. The color is vitreous enamel, which is glass: powdered enamel packed wet and fired at around 800 degrees C, four times, hand-polished between each firing, because every firing collapses the powder into glass and the level drops. Not resin, not paint. White is the least forgiving of the eight, because there is nothing in it to hide a bubble or a thin patch. The stones go in last, after the kiln work. IRDOJA is engraved inside the shank. A 14K or 18K gold band, or platinum, made to your size.
What comes with it. Plain bands are resized until they are right. A band with stones set into it is sized before it is made, so the size you choose is the size it stays. Cleaned for life. Complimentary insured shipping, signature required.
See it first. Take it off for tennis and the gym; a hard knock from the side is the one thing enamel dislikes, and chips are repairable. Three bands stack, and the cart prices the stack. Color varies. A stone photographed in daylight reads differently under a lamp, on a screen, and on your hand. The images are a guide, not a match.

Exchanges and store credit, within 14 days. If a catalog piece is not right, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we will exchange it or issue store credit. Cash refunds are not offered. The piece must be unworn and come back with its report and packaging.
Custom and personalized pieces are final sale. A ring cut to your design, a date engraved inside a band, a stone set to your request: these are made for one person and cannot be exchanged. We say so before you order.
Resizing a plain band is complimentary. If a plain band is off, we adjust it until it is right. A band with stones set into it is made to your size and cannot be resized afterwards, because resizing one means rebuilding it, so we measure carefully first.
