The original documentation is included with your purchase. Natural colored gemstone center stones ship with a GIA identification report, which names the species and any treatment. A laboratory-grown colored stone carries an identification report of its own. Melee is matched by hand and is not individually graded, and each product page says which it is. The report is never a line item.

We sell both, and every piece tells you which it is on its own page. Natural center stones go to GIA for an independent report whenever the stone is big enough to be graded. Natural diamonds we source to order, through suppliers who warrant compliance with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, the framework that governs rough natural diamonds. Laboratory-grown diamonds come with their own IGI report from half a carat up. You never pay extra for a report.

Plain bands are resized until they are right. A band with stones set into it is sized before it is made, because resizing one means rebuilding it. Not sure of the size? Ask us before you order and we will help you work it out. Cleaned for life, either way.

Yes. Engraving inside the band is complimentary on rings and bands. Tell us when you order, because a band is engraved after it has been sized. If a plain band is engraved and then resized later, the work can distort or cut through the inscription, so it is better to settle the size first. An engraved piece is made for one person and is final sale.

Yes. It is chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined diamond, and it is lab-grown. It is grown in a controlled environment rather than dug out of the ground, and that is the only difference between the two.

To the naked eye, and even under standard jeweler's magnification, they are indistinguishable. Specialized gemological equipment is required to identify the origin. Every center diamond of half a carat or more comes with its own independent report, which names the origin.
