A quick, honest note on certification: in fine jewelry, an independent grading report accompanies a qualifying center stone, GIA for mined stones and IGI for lab-grown. This design's center is a colored gemstone - a lab-grown emerald - and its small diamond side stones are accent stones, which (as is standard across the industry) are not individually graded. What you can count on is consistency: the accent diamonds are matched by hand to one standard, and we're always happy to walk you through the specifics.

14K vs. 18K Gold: Which Is Right for You?
This is one of the most common questions we hear in our showroom, and the honest answer is - both are excellent choices. It comes down to your lifestyle and preferences.
14K Gold contains 58.5% pure gold mixed with stronger alloy metals. It's more durable for everyday wear, slightly more accessible in price, and still carries that warm golden tone. If you're active or work with your hands, 14K is a smart choice.
18K Gold contains 75% pure gold, giving it a richer, deeper color that's immediately noticeable. It's the standard for high-end jewelry worldwide. If you prioritize that luxurious warmth and deeper hue, 18K is worth the investment.

Why Lab-Grown Diamonds?
The diamonds flanking your emerald center stone are lab-grown, and they share the chemical and optical properties of a mined diamond. Same carbon crystal structure. Same fire and brilliance. Same hardness on the Mohs scale. One is grown in a laboratory and one is mined; a gemologist separates them by growth features under magnification, which is why the report travels with the stone.
Choosing lab-grown means:
- Same laboratories, same graders - measured on the criteria used for mined stones, and it costs less
- A traceable origin - grown in a facility, not mined
- The paperwork travels with the stone - a center stone of half a carat or more ships with its own independent grading report, GIA for mined stones and IGI for lab-grown (this design’s center is an emerald, and small accent diamonds are not individually certified)
- Choice of the exact stone - a specific color, clarity and shape can be sourced without waiting on what a mine happens to yield
The case for lab-grown is simple. You can see the stone, you can read its report, and you can compare it line for line against a mined diamond of the same grade.
Sizing, Care and Returns
This is a three-stone ring, so stones sit in the band and it is made to your finger size from the start; a band with stones set into it can't be resized afterwards, because resizing one means rebuilding it. Plain bands are different, and those we resize until they're right. Cleaning is complimentary for life on everything we sell. A catalog piece can be exchanged or returned for store credit within 14 days of delivery, and custom pieces are final sale.
